About SpreadAtlas
SpreadAtlas maps how classic trading strategies do on crypto once real costs are counted, and publishes an honest record of our own attempts to make automated trading pay, including everything that failed.
How it is made
SpreadAtlas is an independent research project. The site, the backtests and most of the research code were built with an AI assistant working under the operator's direction. The operator makes every decision and checks the published numbers.
What we do and do not do
- We publish research with its method, the costs we assumed, its limits and its failures.
- We publish the full results as open data under CC BY 4.0.
- We do not sell trading signals, run paid groups, manage money or give individual buy or sell recommendations.
- We take no payment from exchanges or token projects and use no affiliate or referral links.
History
The domain launched in September 2026 as a live order-book radar, alongside six weeks of automated-trading experiments. In October 2026 we shut that down and rebuilt SpreadAtlas as a free static research site. We also retired the price-gap and kimchi-premium tracker: exchanges answered unevenly from different regions, which made the numbers less reliable than they looked, and plenty of other sites already show them. The whole story is in six weeks of letting AI build a trading system.
