Crypto trading fee calculator
What trading fees and slippage cost per trade, per month and per year, and the gain each trade needs just to cover them.
Calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent or stored. Results are estimates for information only, not investment advice.
How it works
Round-trip cost = 2 × (fee + slippage) × trade size. The monthly figure assumes the same number of round trips every day for 30 days. It does not compound, so it shows the money paid, not the effect on a growing or shrinking account.
Questions
Are maker fees lower?
On many exchanges, yes, for limit orders that wait in the book. But a waiting order may not fill, and the trades you miss are often the ones that move in your favour.
What did costs do in your research?
In September 2026 our first paper trader made 190 exits; a single code path that sold on unconfirmed alarms caused 86.5% of the loss, mostly by paying the round-trip cost on trades held for seconds. The story.
